How we write and review

Who we are

As Your Days is edited by a small group of Christians who work in tech, design and product. We are not the official voice of any church or organisation; we just want to publish calm, honest writing that actually helps.

How articles are written

Some first drafts are written with the help of AI tools. Before any article is published, an editor reads all of it, checks the Scripture and the facts, rewrites what needs rewriting, and decides whether it goes out at all.

We would rather publish less than publish something nobody has read carefully. Articles an editor has not yet reviewed are kept out of search engines.

Bylines and pen names

Every article names its writer; click the name to read about them. Every article is reviewed by an editor before it is published.

Some articles are translated from our Chinese sister site, 活石 (huoshi.org), and adapted for English readers. A translated article says so and links to the original.

When a person wrote an article, it carries their name; reader submissions may be published anonymously. Articles drafted with AI help and rewritten by an editor are credited to the team. When the writer is also one of our editors, they review their own piece and the byline says "written and reviewed".

Some editors use a pen name, usually to protect family members. Every pen name belongs to one real editor and only to them: names are never shared or invented. The background on each person’s page is true.

Health, money and legal topics

These articles are general information, not a substitute for advice from your doctor, lawyer or financial adviser. For a decision about your own health, money or legal situation, talk to a qualified professional and check current official guidance.

Scripture and dates

Scripture is quoted from the King James Version (public domain). Articles show the date they were first published.

Corrections

If you spot a mistake, tell us through the Submit page. We check every report and correct the article.
